Prepare mug: In a microwave-safe mug, melt 1 tbsp butter (about 20 - 30 seconds).
Make batter: Stir in brown sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix until just combined (don’t overmix).
Make streusel: In a small bowl, melt 1 tbsp butter. Stir in flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until crumbly. Sprinkle streusel evenly over the batter in the mug.
Microwave: Cook on high for 2 - 3 minutes, checking at the 2-minute mark. The cake should be fluffy and mostly set (a few moist spots on top are fine - it will finish cooking as it rests).
Optional glaze: Mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm cake.
